Hey everyone!! Kristen here from Sunflower Seams Pattern Co. and I am super excited to be on the blog today!
When Kim Henrie’s Hello Peach collection dropped with the fall line, it was literally love at first sight. You know how in the cartoons when the character lays eyes on something it loves, their eyes turn into hearts? Then the hearts start shooting from the cartoon’s face? Well, that was me staring at my computer screen looking at Hello Peach.
While scrolling through Instagram a few weeks ago, I came across a boutique that was selling an adorable collared long sleeve bubble. I took a screenshot and then moved on with my day. Once the Hello Peach fabric arrived I remembered that bubble and immediately knew that I wanted to recreate it with my new fabric.
Finding the right patterns to use was a piece of cake! Since the Peach fabric was spandex jersey, Sunflower Seams Pattern Co’s Gardenia was the perfect for the collared bodice. I struggled on whether to do the short or long puff sleeve since Florida doesn’t really get cooler weather until November. I ultimately chose the long sleeve because I just adored the look of them! For the bubble, I used SS’s Violet bubble romper bottoms. Even though Violet is drafted for wovens, I still constructed it exactly how the instructions said too. Since it offers a snapped crotch, the mashed Gardenia/ Violet romper is super easy to get on and off!
How can you accomplish this mash?
How easy was that?!
Be sure to head on over to the Retail Fabric tab and add some Hello Peach to your cart! And don’t forget to post all your RCF makes in the Raspberry Creek Facebook group so that I can show your creations some love!
Thank you to Raspberry Creek Fabrics and Kim Henrie for the opportunity to sew with gorgeous and high quality fabrics!Enjoy!
