When I saw the CLUB Christmas prints in the Christmas is Coming line, I was immediately drawn to the fair isle. I had a feeling it would make a fun, simple quilt runner project using the Supreme Shirting 50s Broadcloth. I chose the coordinating argyle for the backing and solid red broadcloth for the binding.

I measured my surfaces and compared to my other seasonal table runners to see how much fabric I'd need. I decided to do a 13.5 inch width so by cutting each yard of print into three 15 inch by 36 inch strips, I was able to piece 2 together to make one longer ~48 inch length and one shorter runner closer to 32 inches.

I quilted the layers with a sandwiched strip of batting. Then following the print of the fair isle, I quilted along both sides of all the teal stripes. I used the solid broadcloth to cut my own bias tape. I mixed in some bias stripe of the argyle for an interesting feature.

Now we're counting down the days to fully deck out the house for the holidays!!
