Tricia here again and this time, I was feeling especially adventurous.
You see, I am not at all the type to mix and match patterns in an unconventional way. I tend to stick to a solid and a pattern, that have the same main color. I’ve maaaaybe been adventurous enough to do a stripe and a floral together, but that’s about it. For some reason though, as I was perusing Pinterest, I decided to try something new. I decided I was going to mix patterns.

I’m also not really a, hope for the best, kind of person, so I decided I would try to find a similar color scheme. I found this awesome floral rayon challis and thought, those colors might work well with some leopard print! So I decided if I was going to do a rayon challis, then I’d need a knit for the top. I went with this ponte de roma, because I liked the structure.

I used a couple patterns from Sofiona Designs, the Pinecone skirt and the Clover hoodie, with some minor modifications like adding the elastic waistband for the skirt and lengthening Clover with a neckband.
Let me tell you…it is LOVE! I absolutely adore how these patterns compliment one another and this is just the cutest fall outfit. What do you all think?
