Originally a color study art piece by the famous Russian painter and theorist. Known by its longer title: 'Colour Study. Squares And Concentric Circles' also known as 'Farbstudie quadrate' was completed by Kandinsky in 1913 by applying various washes of watercolor in concentric rings allowing them to flow into one another at their borders. It is one of his most famous works and is now considered one of the most recognizable pieces of abstract fine art from the 20th century.
