Elena is the artist, illustrator and founder of The Sewing Sailor, a sustainable luxury brand rooted in fine art, surface pattern design, and eco-conscious stationery. Raised in the Italian countryside, she grew up surrounded by her mother’s interior design studio, a garden in full bloom, and a family who lived and breathed creativity. Those early days instilled in Elena a deep reverence for craftsmanship, storytelling, and the natural world, all of which continue to shape her work today. Before launching The Sewing Sailor, Elena spent years traveling the world as a professional athlete and lived five unforgettable years sailing across the globe, experiences that deepened her connection to nature and her commitment to protecting it. Elena's artwork is an expression of that journey: delicate, detailed, and driven by a love for the environment and childhood wonders. Through soft watercolour and refined design, she creates timeless pieces that reflect the beauty and fragility of the natural world, the joy of a childhood spent in the countryside and the beauty of exotic places.
