I’m Denny Thomason, the surface pattern designer and illustrator behind The Flying Bunny Studio. I create hand-drawn digital artwork and seamless repeating patterns. The name “The Flying Bunny” began many years ago as my online identity, inspired by my love of bunnies and the way they seem to fly when they leap through the air. The name stayed with me through the years and even became the name of our family’s homeschool, The Flying Bunny Academy, before eventually growing into The Flying Bunny Studio. Much of my artwork is inspired by nature, cherished memories of growing up in Wisconsin in the 1980s, raising and homeschooling my three children in Arizona, and the meaningful details of everyday life. My goal is to create designs that feel warm, distinctive, and full of story.
