Covering the lands of Nevada, this flower is an important staple meal for wildlife. During the fall and winter when most plants have lost it's leaves the sagebrush will continue to hang onto it's leaves allowing a much needed meal for cattle and sheep alike. While it's most common heights in cities such as Las Vegas and Reno are around 3 - 6 feet, in less populated areas it can be seen reaching up to 12 feet tall! It grows so rampantly in some parts of the state that the large Sagebrush bushes have slowed cattle drives in the past.
